Zirrus: View Completed Tasks
It’s been a big week here at InterfaceThis: Zirrus gained over 800 registered users. We’ve received a lot of feedback, and added one major new feature. Here are a couple of our favorite quotes:
“Zirr.us is a sexy newcomer to the web-based To-do list scene…” — Skin Deep
“…an amazing new Web 2.0 application that adds an innovation to to-do lists that I hope catches on.” — Musings from Mars
Of course, we’ve also received bug reports and feature requests, and while they aren’t as good for the ego they are greatly appreciated. By far the most-requested feature has been the ability to save and view completed tasks, and we’re thrilled to announce we’ve just launched it. Here’s how it works:
- As of this morning, every task you check off is saved (though we may need to delete older tasks after a few months).
- To see completed tasks, just select show completed from the new View menu.
Thanks for your support, and stay tuned…

To whom it may concern,
I’ve just begun using Zirrus, and it looks promising. One initial reaction: I’d love to see a way to add note to a ToDo, and the ability to create repeating todos.
Keep up the good work!
Cheers,

define a task, than fill in for it. than delete it and it will remain open in the right panel. move the slider and it will bring a lot of debug messages (lower side of the right panel)
seems the debug messages are visible for other users as well.

Hello!
First off, great job with zirr.us thus far. I actually chose zirr.us OVER the 37signals backback due to its simple interface.
For some reason, despite numerous tries (across the past week), I can’t get audio on the quick start. Is there supposed to be audio? I’ll test it out from work.
I have one other question; are e-mails sent as due dates approach, or are they just there to provide a date at which tasks move to the “now” list? It’s fine if e-mails are not sent; I was just curious. It would be great if there was a simple calendar tie-in, but that may be too much to ask. The fact that the dates are visible upon mouseover is great.
Thanks for a nice app.

Vin: Glad you like the app!
There is no audio on the quick start, so everything is working for you as it should.
At the moment, Zirrus doesn’t send email when tasks become due. That type of functionality is something we’re considering for the future though. And I agree that calendar integration would be a great future feature, and again we’ll certainly consider it…in the meantime we’ll be publishing developer information so third parties can integrate with Zirrus themselves.
